Minutes Matter with Sepsis Care

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that results from an infection in your body. In the worst cases, it affects your circulation, causing septic shock, which is fatal in up to 50 percent of people.

Sepsis can be hard to diagnose in its early stages because the symptoms can mimic other conditions. When detected, doctors work quickly to treat the infection. The sooner you get treatment for sepsis, the greater your likelihood of survival.

By staying up to date on vaccinations and practicing good hygiene techniques, you can reduce your risk of infection.
